Sammy is a licensed engineer with more than twenty (20) years of experience in the Renewable Energy (RE) sector.

He is currently a Director in McMatthise Energy Development Corporation, Boundless Energy Philippine Inc., and Global Energist Power Corporation. He is also an Associate Partner in AscendPh Co., Ltd.

Previously, he worked as Group Operation Officer under Rockport Power. He was assigned as Chief Operating Officer for the 28MWp Solar Power Plant under Alterpower Digos Solar Power Plant.

He was also with SunAsia Energy Inc, an Energy Solution Provider, and a Renewable Energy Developer Company specializing in Solar (PV). He spearheaded the Technical and Project Operations and has developed with DOE’s approval of more than five (5) awarded renewable energy service contracts.

Prior to joining SunAsia, he worked with Contained Energy Inc. in Indonesia. This company won a sub-contract agreement to install Solar (PV) systems in the Federal State of Micronesia (FSM). He also worked as a Supervisor in-charge of the PV stand-alone installation for schools in Chuuk Island, FSM for three (3) months.

He also worked with a U.S.-based non-government organization (NGO) name Winrock International. This company handled the project called Alliance for Mindanao Off-grid Renewable Energy Program (AMORE). AMORE was a Philippine Department of Energy and USAID funded project. AMORE was a Solar Electrification Project for Mindanao.

Prior to the above-mentioned projects and affiliations, he was with the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) for thirteen (13) years. He started from Science Research Specialist I up to his last position as Senior Science Research Specialist.

In the DOE, he worked with various foreign-assisted projects. This included the United Nations Development Program, the Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank on rural electrification. He was also sent to exposure trips, both local and abroad, for various trainings and inspections. This included sites in the United States and in India.

Sammy took his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas and had some units in Masters in Management Engineering at the same school.

Andrew Boado, is an Energy Executive and an Energy Development Advisor. He specializes in Renewable Energy.

As Energy Executive, he holds positions in several energy companies such as Global Energist Power Corporation, McMatthise Energy Development Corporation, Tech Energie Reserves, Inc. and Solar Valley Energy Solutions Inc.

Andrew has been conferred Doctorate (PhD) in Sustainable Renewable Energy Leadership & Management, Honoris Causa by The Thames International University of France. He has been given the Indo-Global Achiever’s Award by the Global Human Rights Council for Peace & Sustainable Development – USA. He has been conferred as Asia’s Man of Excellence in Renewable Energy Leadership and an Exceptional Energy Development Expert Award of the Year by the Thailand International Leadership Award. He is also regarded as Man of Exemplary Achievements in the field of Renewable Energy by the Philippines’ Golden Eagle Awards. He is also conferred the Asia’s Outstanding Renewable Energy Development Expert Award by the Asia Awards and the World Research Congress (India). He has been also conferred the Asia’s Man of Excellence in Energy Development Visionary Expertise and Most Innovative Renewable Energy Executive Award of the Year by the Malaysia Business Leaders and Innovators Awards. He has been also conferred Asia’s Man of Visionary Achievements in Sustainable Renewable Energy and a Multi-Awarded Energy Development Expert of the Year by the Vietnam International Achievers Awards.

Andrew is a recipient of the renowned Globe Telecom – Management Development Program (GMDP). He is a trained Auditor on ISO (Quality Management Systems) from the Anglo Japanese American Registrars (AJA) – United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). He is a Certified Paralegal from the University of the Philippines. He is also a Certified Compliance Officer (CCO) and a Tax Compliance Specialist (TCS) in the Philippines. 

Andrew has finished the 10-month Chief Strategy Officer (CS0) Program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  He has also taken the 3-month course on Corporate Governance and the 2-month course on Executive Presence and Influence from Wharton.  Andrew has also taken the Economics of Clean Energy Transition from the Stanford University – School of Engineering, Doerr School of Sustainability.   He has also been taking up his Doctorate in Sustainability from the University of the Philippines. He has been working on his Doctorate in Philosophy in Economic Analysis with focus in the Philippine Renewable Energy Market from the Selinus University of Sciences and Literature (UK). He holds a Master in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management (Dean’s List) and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from the De La Salle University (Dean’s List).
